Throughout the Bible the Word of God makes it clear that Israel was scattered among the nations. (see The Lost Sheep of the House of Israel). After the last exile of the Jews in 70 A.D., Israel was cast into the wilderness for a season and ultimately sent to slavery. Though Satan tried to destroy Israel through the atrocities of slavery in the world abroad and here in the United States of America, the Holy Scriptures tells us that what Satan means for evil, The Most High will use it for our good. Slavery ultimately bought Israel to a place where they had to call on The Most High and turn from there wicked ways, the problem was that mistreatment of God’s people was taken too far. This mistreatment goes back to a family feud that goes all the way back to the book of Genesis where it began between two brothers, Jacob and Esau. Jacob went on to inherit the blessings as God’s elect and his name was changed to Israel. Esau gave up his birthright for a pot of red stew, and he was later called Edom and his children are the Edomites. Defeated in battle to the ancient people of Chittim (Rome), they were grafted into the children of Japheth, the son of Noah, whose seed were the great nations of Greece, Rome, and many other nations of the continent of Europe. Centuries later, during the time our Savior walked the earth, they were given authority over the Jews by the Roman Empire, they were also known as the Herodians. The Edomites are those living in the land of Jerusalem today as the so called "Jewish People", however they are not the chosen people of The Most High, as simply put, they have never in history fulfilled the curses foretold in Deuteronomy 28:68.
